Accessibility

We want every shopper to be able to plan, save, and buy — including people who rely on assistive technology. This page describes how we approach accessibility for B2B Wishlist Project Planner and, importantly, what merchants using the app are responsible for on their own storefronts.

Our approach

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA as our design target for this website and for the customer-facing widgets the app adds to merchant storefronts. Accessibility is an ongoing process rather than a fixed end state, and our practices include:

Because web accessibility depends on many factors — including evolving standards, assistive-technology behavior, browsers, and the context in which content is displayed — we do not represent or warrant that this website, the app, or its widgets conform to WCAG or to any accessibility law or standard at all times.

Merchants are responsible for their own storefronts

The app’s widgets render inside your storefront and intentionally inherit your store’s design and content: widget colors are customizable in your theme editor, the widgets use your theme’s fonts, and they display your product catalog’s content — names, prices, and images. Choices made in your store can cause pages that include our widgets to fall short of accessibility standards regardless of how the widgets are built. Common examples include:

For these reasons, installing or using B2B Wishlist Project Planner does not make a storefront compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), WCAG, or any other accessibility law or standard, and the app is not a substitute for a merchant’s own accessibility program. Responsibility for the accessibility and legal compliance of a storefront — including every page on which our widgets appear — rests solely with the merchant that operates it. We recommend that every brand or business using the app conduct its own periodic accessibility audits, covering the pages where our widgets appear and the configuration choices it has made, and consult its own legal counsel regarding the requirements that apply to its business.

Reporting accessibility issues

If you or your customers encounter an accessibility barrier in one of our widgets or on this site, we want to hear about it. Contact us with a description of the issue, the page where it occurred, and the assistive technology involved. We review reports of accessibility barriers and consider them in our ongoing work.
