Classic vs V2 widgets
The app ships two storefront designs. Classic uses theme blocks and a popup; V2 uses a side panel and a full-page Projects experience at its own URL. Here's how they differ, which to pick, and how to switch.
The app has two generations of storefront widgets. Both use the same wishlists, customers and data, so switching between them never loses anything. They differ in how they look, where the wishlist page lives, and where you style them.

Sharing, PDF download, quantities, subgroups, custom terminology and draft orders work in both.
Which should I use?
Choose V2 if you're setting up today. It needs no theme blocks for the wishlist page, works with both customer account systems, matches your theme's typography out of the box, and is where new features land first.
Stay on Classic if you rely on placing the wishlist inside a custom page template alongside other content, or you've customized the classic widgets and don't want to revisit that work. Classic remains fully supported.
Use one design across your store
The product page button, the collection page icon and the wishlist page link are set independently. Pick the same design for all of them so customers see one consistent experience. In particular, a V2 save panel links customers to the V2 Projects page, so if your navigation still points at the classic page they'll end up in two different places.
How to switch to V2
- In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes → Customize
- Open a product page, select the Wishlist Product Button block and set Design to V2
- If you use the collection page icon, select the Wishlist Collection Icon block and set its Design to V2 too
- Point your wishlist link (navigation menu, header icon, footer) at
/apps/wishlist-api/v2/projects - If you had the classic Wishlist Account Page or Wishlist Project Planner block on a page, remove it so customers aren't shown two versions
- Click Save
Then open Apps → B2B Wishlist Project Planner → Appearance to check how the V2 pages look with your theme's fonts and adjust colors if needed. See Styling the V2 widgets.
How to switch back to Classic
Set Design back to Classic on the same blocks, point your wishlist link at /apps/wishlist-api/wishlist-account (or re-add the classic block to a page), and save. Your customers' wishlists are unchanged.
