Installation

The app has two storefront designs, V2 (recommended for new setups) and Classic. This guide installs V2 and notes where Classic differs. For a side-by-side comparison, see Classic vs V2 widgets.

1. Enable the App Embed

1. In your Shopify admin, go to Sales Channels → Online Store
2. Click Customize on the theme you want to add the app to
3. Go to App Embeds in the left sidebar and turn on B2B Wishlist Project Planner

The embed loads the widgets on every page and holds your custom terminology. Nothing shows on the storefront until you add the button below.

2. Add the Wishlist Button to Product Pages

1. In the theme customizer, click the page selector dropdown and choose Products → Default product
2. In the left sidebar under Template, click Add block
3. Select the Apps tab and choose Wishlist Product Button
4. Set Design to V2 (or leave Classic if you're staying on the classic widgets)
5. Drag the block to position the button where you want it on the product page
6. Customize the button text, icon, width and colors to match your store

With V2, clicking the button opens a side panel where customers pick or create a project. With Classic it opens a popup.

3. Let Customers View Their Wishlists

V2: link to the Projects page (recommended)

The V2 wishlist page already exists on your store at:

https://your-store.com/apps/wishlist-api/v2/projects

There is nothing to add in the theme. Just link to it from your navigation menu (Online Store → Navigation), a header icon, or the footer. Customers sign in to their account to see their own lists. It works with both New and Classic Customer Accounts, and the product page save panel links customers there automatically.

Classic: three options

If you set the product button to Classic, give customers one of these instead:

Link to the classic app page. Add a link to /apps/wishlist-api/wishlist-account anywhere in your store. Works with both New and Classic Customer Accounts.

Add to a custom page template. Create a page template in the theme customizer, add the Wishlist Project Planner app block to it, then create a page in Shopify admin and assign it the template. Useful when you want other content on the page, such as recommended products.

Add to the account page (Classic Customer Accounts only). If your theme supports sections on the account page, open it in the customizer (you must be signed in to see it) and add the Wishlist Account Page block.

4. Optional: Wishlist Icons on Collection Pages

Let customers save products while browsing. Add the Wishlist Collection Icon block to your collection or product grid sections and set its Design to match the product button. See Wishlist icons on collection pages.

5. Save Your Changes

Click Save in the top right corner of the theme customizer.

6. Match the widgets to your store (V2)

The V2 pages pick up your theme's fonts automatically. To adjust colors, corner radius, shadows or add custom CSS, open Apps → B2B Wishlist Project Planner → Appearance in your Shopify admin. It has a live preview. See Styling the V2 widgets.

Classic widget colors are set on each theme block, and on the Wishlist Settings page in the app for the classic app-hosted page.
