Share emails: your domain, your branding, your words
Share emails are sent by the app on your customer's behalf. Send them from your own verified domain, reuse your PDF logo and colors, edit the subject, intro and button, and let customers add a personal note.
When a customer shares a wishlist by email (the Share button on the Projects page or a shared view, then entering email addresses), the app sends the email for them. This guide covers where that email comes from and how to make it yours.
What the email looks like
- From: your store name, at your own verified domain once you set one up (for example
Acme Tile <hello@acmetile.com>). Stores that installed before October 16, 2026 send fromnoreply@shopstackify.comwith your store name as the display name until then; newer stores verify first (see below). - Reply-to: the customer who shared, so replies go straight back to them.
- Branding: your logo and button color from Settings > PDF Export. Set them once and both the PDF quote and the email use them.
- Content: a subject line, an intro paragraph and a button, all editable with placeholders, plus the customer's optional personal note.
Who needs a verified domain
- Stores that installed the app on or after October 16, 2026 need a verified sending domain before customers can share by email. Until then the share dialog offers Copy Link only, with a short note, and Settings > Email shows what is left to do.
- Stores that installed earlier can share by email right away from the default address (
noreply@shopstackify.comwith your store name). Verifying your domain is still recommended: emails from your own domain are more likely to land in the inbox and look like they came from you.
Sending from your own domain
- In your Shopify admin, open the B2B Wishlist Project Planner app and go to Settings > Email
- Under Sending domain, enter your domain (for example
acmetile.com, or a subdomain such asmail.acmetile.comif you prefer to keep app email separate) and click Add domain - Open DNS records and add each record at your domain provider (GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Google Domains, and so on) exactly as shown. These records let receiving mail servers confirm the email really comes from you.
- Back in the app, click Check verification. Once DNS has propagated, usually within a few minutes, the domain shows Verified.
- Under Sender, choose the domain, set the part before the @ (for example
helloorprojects) and, if you like, a from name other than your store name - Click Save, then use Send test to see the result in your own inbox
Keep the DNS records in place. If they are removed, verification lapses and the app falls back to the default address until they are restored.
One domain, every app
A domain you verify here is verified for your store, not just for this app. Other Conspire apps you install can send from it too, with no second setup.
Editing the content
Under Share email content you can change the Subject, Intro and Button text. Leave a field empty to keep the default. These placeholders are replaced when the email is sent:
| Placeholder | Becomes |
|---|---|
{{customer_name}} | The customer who is sharing (or "Someone" if their name is unknown) |
{{project_name}} | The name of the shared wishlist / project |
{{store_name}} | Your store name |
{{item_count}} | The number of saved items |
{{items}} | "1 item" / "12 items" |
{{term}} | Your word for a wishlist, in lowercase (see custom terminology) |
The preview on the right updates as you type. Send test emails the saved version to the address on your Shopify staff account.
The customer's personal note
The share dialog has an optional note field (up to 500 characters). Whatever the customer writes appears in the email above the button, attributed to them, so a designer can say "here are the finishes I mentioned" without leaving the store. The note is plain text; links and formatting are not rendered.
Troubleshooting
- "Add DNS records" never changes to "Verified": open DNS records and compare each record with what your provider shows. The most common slip is a provider that appends your domain to the record name automatically, which doubles it up.
- A test email lands in spam: this is far more likely before verification, when the email is sent from the shared default address. Verify your domain, then test again.
- The email shows the wrong store name: set a From name under Sender. The default is the store name from your Shopify settings at the time the app was installed.

How to share wishlists/projects
Customers can share their wishlists and project lists with others using a generated link - great for design clients, contractors, and purchasing teams.
Branded PDF quotes
Add your logo (from your Shopify files), colors, header and footer text to the PDF quotes exported from wishlists, choose which fields print, and include product or variant metafields.
